Sunset in Edinburgh. The Dugald Stewart Monument stands majestically above the Edinburgh horizon, here at Calton Hill. Facing Prince's Street, Balmoral Hotel, the Robert Burns Monument and Edinburgh Castle, visitors will climb the hill for a lovely view of the Scottish capital. Emanating from the start of the evening's Royal Edinburgh Military Tattoo, fireworks may be seen in the distance.
