This was taken on June 21st... The longest day.
I arrived at Spurn Point at around 2am in the pitch black, and set off to find the perfect spot to capture the beginning of the new day. The road had previously been eroded and claimed by the sea, so had to walk a mile in soft and deep sand, carrying all my kit.
After setting up, I caught this image of first light at 2:30am on a 30 second exposure.
