One day before Nyepi Day there was a great sacrificial ceremony called Tawur Agung. The ceremony continues with a parade of “Ogoh-Ogoh” festival. Giant figure of monsters during “Pengerupukan” ceremony aimed at appeasing the symbol of greed and evil spirits, who descend to earth on this particular night disturbing the stability of peace. The purpose of this ceremonial procession is to make any conceivable noise to seek endowment to frighten away demons and evil spirits.
