Location
This image was taken over Curiosity Rocks, Lake Jindabyne, in the Snowy Mountains, New South Wales, Australia.Time
This image is taken just after sunrise on a Autumn morning.Lighting
I took the drone out early on what was a very foggy morning and found that by flying above the fog, there was a surreal wave pattern in it from a high angle. The early morning light also created the deep aqua blue colour of the water. The rock formation in the image just climbs out of the lake and is a natural draw for many of the local photographers and it is being lit here by the rising sunEquipment

I love this rock formation and wanted to capture it in a unique way. The fog rolling over the lake and the colour made it different to anything I had ever seen.Editing
This image was processed in Adobe Camera RAW and Photoshop for a little bit more contrast and to bring out the colour and rippling on the waters surface. In my camera bag
I carry a Canon 5D MkIV and a 6D. Normally with a range of lenses to suit what I am shooting at the time. Canon 17-40 f/4 L, 24-70 F2.8 L. 35mm f/1.4 L, 70-200 f/4 L IS, 100-400 L, With a range of neutral density and polarizing filters. As well as a Vanguard carbon tripod. When I get the chance to fly, the DJI Mavic Pro comes along too.Feedback
Best advice is to fly or shoot when the weather is less than perfect. Blue skies are dull. The worse the weather, I find the better the photos. And every now and then the perfect moment pops through the clouds creating dramatic lighting, but you have to be there to capture it. Don't be a fair weather photographer!
