Behind The Lens

Location

This was a collaboration between myself and my wife Lesley. These are her musical instruments. She helped arrange them and I setup the lighting and operated the camera.

Small battery operated back light hidden behind the guitar.

Equipment

Nikon D5300 with a 18-105mm Nikon lens. No flash and an old tripod.

Inspiration

Just trying to create a great piece of art.

Editing

A little Gamma adjustment, not much else.

In my camera bag

Two Nikon digital's, D3200, D5300. Tamron 18-200mm lens with VC, Nikon 18-105mm with VR. I recently got a fixed focus 50mm F1.8 Lens. Mostly because of it's superior sharpness and low light ability (I love night photography).

Feedback

Setup and try lots of different things. Helps if you have a partner with lots of instruments (yes she plays them all).
