Location
This was take one Saturday in Connecticut. The site was a former working farm and machine shop, that was now the site of a flea market and tractor show. I wandered through the less traveled grounds, areas of over growth and found many old rusted out pieces of equipment and vehicles of the past. It was truly an old metal graveyard.Time
This was early morning.Lighting
Nothing in particular it was not an extremely bright day and this was under the shadow of trees so the lighting was naturally good.Equipment
This was take. with a simple Canon EOS camera and 70-300 zoom ( my favorite lens)Inspiration
I love black and white film and this old farm and it’s abandoned equipment just spoke to me.Editing
Very little post processing. I am from the old school of black and white film in the dark room where if it wasn’t in the negative, you weren’t getting it. I make every attempt to capture what I want with the shot and not with the processing afterward. In my camera bag
I use two lens most of the time - the 80-300 zoom and a 10-18mm wide angle . They are by far the most versatile to me and my favorites.Feedback
Sometimes the right subject speaks for itself.
