We have just come back from Lizard Island in far north Queensland and fell in love with these tiny little birds known as sunbirds and are in the same genre as hummingbirds. They flit around so quickly which is very challenging to try and capture them! This little guy is a male as he has the darker feathers on his chest and when the sunlight is on those feathers it is a brilliant blue colour....just gorgeous!
