Some of my friends were rather shocked when I sent them a picture from here via Snapchat saying that I was only 40 minutes from home (I live about an hour and a half or more from any beach by the ocean). So I brought them a few days later. We were rewarded with low tide, providing a far larger beach than what I had seen previously. The Hudson Valley is full of surprises.
