While I don't remember specifically, I believe that I created this macro photo of a Spanish Needle flower at the Circle B Bar Reserve in Polk county, Florida. A couple of "fun facts" I recently read about say that in Florida the Bidens alba is a top producer of nectar for many species of Butterfly and is also useable as a salad ingredient. Several common names for it are shepherd's needles, beggarticks, Spanish needles and butterfly needles. It is not just a weed.
