I remember years ago as a kid I use to see these all the time. As an adult to see a butterfly where I live is a very very rare thing. The most we see here are those really tiny little yellow and white ones and that is not even often. This past year though however I have seen so many monarchs floating around. I even seen them in my backyard! I took this at the hospital garden and fell in love with it right away. It was the moment. There were about 15 flying all around this one bush and I was standing there watching and this one butterfly comes down to the flower that was right in front of me and just sat there while all the rest were still flying around, It was truly amazing!
