Behind The Lens

Location

I shot this photo at my home in Noblesville Indiana a couple years ago. Thw praying mantis was large and a good specimen to photograph. I loved how the reflections of the wood from the house gave the photo artistic flare with many colors. I never imagined I could capture every little detail if this insect and so cool.

Time

It was morning time I think.

Lighting

The lighting at my home was always great as in Indiana we have four seasons. I often capture light in my photos according to the time of day. Indiana has some very pretty ones.

Equipment

I like my Minolta camera for quick shots when I'm inspired or in rgw moment. It has everything I need and well equipped with a monitor too.

Inspiration

I feel nature needs to be appreciated from even an insect's stand point. Insects are so valuable to our world. The praying Mantis in particular have a long history of ancient stories behind them.

Editing

No

In my camera bag

A Minolta or Nikon..

Feedback

Yes. I like to amplify the o j.g ect as much as possible to see and grasp every detail of the object up close. It is important for reseach. So scientist can study it.
