Behind The Lens

Location

This shot was taken at Bronx Zoo Newyork

Time

This is one of my favorite shots of a Tiger. This was taken around evening time of the day and I saw these young tigers very playful running across and jumping into the water. I saw this tiger walking across and just lay down near the rock by the water pool giving a cool pose. It was as if posing for a Photograph. Nothing better to do in a zoo Right!!!!

Lighting

No flash was used. Just the evening light and at that time has a bit cloudy and helped with the shot.

Equipment

The Photo was taken with Canon 70D and Sigma 100-400mm f5.6 to 6.3 lens.

Inspiration

I had a long walk in the zoo and I was there pretty much the entire day and this was one of the last exhibits I visited. And having seen the young tigers very active brought be back to my active best especially after hand holding an heavy lens the entire day. This Tiger posing for a photograph made my day

Editing

Just some basic editing and introduced from Vignetting so the focus will be on the Tiger

In my camera bag

I was a Canon shooter for a long time and during the time of the shoot I had Canon 70D with Sigma 100-400mm Lens. Today I hold a Sony A7III camera with Sony 55mm F1.8; Sony 24-105mm F4 and Son 200-600mm f5.6 to 6.3

Feedback

Zoo photographs are quite tricky and it will be better if you choose a cloudy day where the Sun is not too hot. I would rather go as early as possible or in the evening when the animals tend to be more active.
