Behind The Lens

Location

It was in NYC my friend had owned a beautiful apartment near central park I believe on the 16th-18th floor with beautiful windows allowing a lot of natural light in.

Time

It was a little early in the afternoon, it was quite some time ago so the exact time I could not remember for the life of me.

Lighting

There was a lot of natural light from all the huge windows around the apartment, small mono lights were used to highlight a few areas.

Equipment

It was funny because I switched to a few different cameras from then but it was quite close to at the begning of my photography journey. I used just a Canon T6I with a 50mm 1.8 canon lens. Mono light, no flash.

Inspiration

The windows and model were the main inspiration.

Editing

No post processing other then putting watermark in. It was at the beginning of my journey into photography and I wanted to keep pictures as is so I could go back to see the basics of the beginning and remember where it started.

In my camera bag

Back then just a few prime lenses and my camera. Now I use a stroller and bag with lights, many different lenses and a lot of accessories.

Feedback

Find an area with a lot of natural light, find the right angle and direction from where the light comes. Having a beautiful model on your side to help make things easier is always a plus and you don't really need anything special for shots like these.
