I created this wildlife photograph of a small duck swimming in the water alongside the Heron Hideout trail at the Circle B Bar Reserve in Polk County, Florida during mid-January of 2015. I believe that it was a migratory waterfowl that was wintering over in the area while waiting for the northerly migration to start in about one more month. Birds and migratory waterfowl are extremely common at the Circle B Bar from about early October through early April.
