I grew up 15 minutes from where I took this photograph. I have a strong connection to the landscape here, I would come and run though the sand dunes as a child and imagine they where the high mountains of the Alps or the Himalayas and I was running free capturing their magnificence. A thought which turned in to a reality for me. I always like to strip this location down to its simplest elements. Every time the tide recedes, I am given another canvas paint upon with light all over again.
