Behind The Lens

Location

This photo was taken during the Sony Alpha A7 III launch event a few years ago. I was invited to the launch event and tried out the performance of the Alpha A7 III and took a photo of a ballerina dancing

Time

I never imagined that I would photograph a ballerina dancing. At that time, when I tried the performance of the Sony A7 III, the first thing I did was to get acquainted with the ballerina, just to get closer to taking pictures. Sure enough, knowing the ballerina's name gave me the advantage of being able to communicate and take pictures of her.

Lighting

I photographed this ballerina in a room using the help of studio lights. With a black background, I immediately took the initiative to create a photo of the receiving ballerina with a minimalist theme, only she was jumping to show her skills.

Equipment

This was shot on Sony A7 mark III with Sony FE 24-70 F/2.8

Inspiration

I've always liked photos with minimalistic themes. It seems simple, but easy and comfortable to look at. I also saw a lot of photo references to minimalist nuances, which more or less triggered me to be able to create such photos

Editing

I am a person who tries to maximize my shooting time. After taking a photo, editing is one of the things necessary so that the photo becomes complete. With this minimalist themed photo, I only did minor editing then turned it into a black and white photo

In my camera bag

Sony A7 mark ii with Sony FE 28mm F / 2.0. This combination has always been my favorite when shooting

Feedback

I can only recommend that before photographing someone, it would be nice if we could get acquainted first to make the shooting session easier. This works for me.
