Golden Rhino

This image represents one of the most exhilarating photographic experiences that I have had. Typically on a safari around sunset you stop for "sundowners" that is a beer, wine or a G&T. We stopped on the other side of the Tau Dam in Madikwe on a flat bushy area with red sand to have a drink and photograph the sunset. This Rhino thought it was a good time to join us for a drink or two. This gave me the opportunity to be out of the vehicle and photograph this amazing animal at ground level. I was about 100 meters away - being able to photograph at eye level with the animal was an amazing experience. Please note, we were at least 150m away and did not interact or alter the Rhino's behaviour.
