Location
the photo was taken in the city where i live. It is a Rijeka city in Croatia on the Adriatic SeaTime
desirable and I would say the necessary conditions for such a shot is windless weather. then the surface of the sea is calm and mirrors the image of the bird as it approaches. Too strong sun is also not desirable because then it shines too brightly, and the birds that are most often white are “burned” due to the glare and flash of the judge from the surface of the water.Lighting
since you are shooting outside in good visibility conditions no extra light is needed and I am not using it.Equipment
Nikon D750, Tamron 70-300 lensInspiration
I was attracted to shooting seagulls in flight by their beauty and grace, and at the same time their speed, determination and strength. furthermore, each shot is different and you cannot have two of the same. Photos often exude great dynamics of the frame, which is certainly very interesting for any photographer-Editing
I process the photos first in the Light room, and later in the Photshop. However, for this type of photography, processing is almost not necessary. If the photo is good, you can take it as it was taken. eventually I just crop it to the desired format. In my camera bag
In my bag when I go to the shoot, there are three lenses and of course a camera. I'm shooting with a Nikon D750. Lenses are Tamron 15-30 mmf2.8; Tamron 24-70 f 2.8 and Tamrom 70-300. If I think I will shoot insects as well, then our sigma 105mm f2.8 lens and of course the tripod. the rest is accessories that I think we all have like cleaning supplies, cloths, remote trigger, spare batteries, small things.Feedback
My advice to anyone trying to catch something similar is to have a lot of patience and perseverance. Just shoot and shoot and the results will certainly not be missed. Everyone has to learn something from their own mistakes, so if you are persistent you will quickly have wonderful shots just the way you want them.
