A shot of my very favourite Lake District mountain, Great Gable, from Wasdale in the west of the National Park. I have climbed Gable from this side once but this is undoubtedly the best view of it from ground level with the bonus of the lake, Wastwater, in shot. This is a great picnic area and the hotel at Wasdale Head is welcoming if you prefer greater comfort.
