I took the picture in Botswana during a trip to the Okavango delta. A local guide was touring me and my wife through the bush looking for wild life.Time
It was early in the morning and we were sitting quietly on the 4WD when the leopard appeared. A split second only but enough for a snap to be taken.Lighting
The light was just right. Low and illuminating the spot where the cat was movingEquipment
I used a Canon 7D mounting a Canon 100-400mm lens. A bean bag helped reduce shakingInspiration

Generally, wIld life in Africa can be best seen early in the morning. Patience and readiness (and luck) are most necessary together with a local guide who knows where animals are more likely to be seen
