Behind The Lens

Location

The photo was taken on the camping site not far from Quebec City.

Time

It was almost at dusk: I had already considered my day finished and started to prepare a barbecue, when I heard pecking. I took rapidly my camera and took a few photos.

Lighting

The light was becoming low and the bird was partly in shade...

Equipment

I used a Canon 7D with a zoom Canon EF 70-300mm/f

Inspiration

A moment...

Editing

I usually shoot in raw, so I could ajust a contrast and, if I well remember, a color for a bit

In my camera bag

My above mentioned camera, zoom EFS 10-18mm, zoom EFS 17-55mm/f2.8 , zoom EF 70-300mm/f 5.6, Ef 85 mm/f1,8, a flash Sigma, filter polarizer and a filter ND. I rarely use filters except a polarizer for a landscapes and sometimes a flash . In some occasions (landscape and night photography) I use a tripod but, usually I don't carry it with me.

Feedback

To be prepared for surprise.
