Behind The Lens

Location

I took this photo on the one of the nearby beaches in an area which is close to Marbella on Spain's Costa del Sol.

Time

I started the photo session with Patry late afternoon and we were wrapping up the session with this photos so it was near dusk.

Lighting

It was a very sunny day on the Costa del Sol so blue skies everywhere.

Equipment

I shot this using my Canon EOS 60D and my "go-to" lens which is a Sigma 17 - 50 mm F2.8

Inspiration

I was inspired to take this photo in this area of the boardwalk because I had Patry place her hand on the fence because I was drawn to the lines of the fence in the distance and her hand would follow the path and your eyes are drawn to the curves of the fence in the distance.

Editing

I applied - if any - post processing to this photo as my style of retouching photos is to keep the photos natural and to show their true colors all my post processing is using a software which came with the camera.

In my camera bag

I always have in my bag my Canon EOS 60D which is usually equipped with my Sigma 17-50 mm (F2.8), my Sigma 70-300 mm, my backup prime 50mm (F1.4), some spare batteries, spare cards and earplugs ( I usually take photos at concerts), with a notepad and permanent markers.

Feedback

If you don't have much exprience with models, take photos of your friends at local spots to get comfortable with both working with models and using your camera, and then practice, practice and more practice.
