I was riding an old local passenger bus to Erawan National Park in Kanchanaburi Province, Thailand when we passed by this historic cemetery. Established during Japanese imprisonment on February 1956 for the prisoners of war who died building the infamous Thai-Burma Railway in the province.
These days, it's been known as a tourist destination as it is being well-maintained and kept by local authorities however, the painful and dark past shall always be remembered.
