I took this photo on main beach Bundoran in County Donegal IrelandTime
I was working for a language school in the area and had a few hours off in the late evening It was a really nice summers evening so I decided to take a walk down to the beach. I thought it might be a nice sunset so i will take my camera with me just incase. As I was walking back the sky light up really nicely and just when looking to frame the photo I saw these two people walking up the beach, which i find gives the photo a focal pointLighting
Luckly mother nature put on the lighting for me. I like the way the coulors were reflected off the waterEquipment
This was shot with my old bridge camera a Nikon COOLPIX P80. it is small and light weight so great to take around when i am not expecting to be using my camera.Inspiration
There was not a lot of ispiration behind this photo, just happened to be out for a walk at sunset I often find a bit of luck in being in the right place and time can go a long way. It is hard to not be inspired by a great sunsetEditing
very little was required for this shot. everything fell into place really nice, it was taken a fair few years ago cant remember what was done to it but think it was a little increase in clarityIn my camera bag
On that day it was just a very simple old bridge camera, as I was not planing on shooting anything. On a normal day i would have in my bag A cannon 550D with regular kit lens 18-35mm and a spare 50-300mm sigma zoom lens as i do like to try some wildlife watching. I sometimes use it as a scope to just watch for wildlife in the distance, if I dont have my binoculars with me. I would also have a cloth and blower and cleaning equipment in the bag. If I am out at night i will have my remote and my tripod also.Feedback
I live on the west coast of Ireland, the weather is very changable here. and we are looking across the atlantic ocean every evening at sunset. Its always good to have the camera close by a very wet cloudy day could clear in late evening to give a beautiful sky, I have often left camera at home on bad weather days a regreated it as the weather changed to give great light. But Some times it is good to put down the camera and enjoy the scene yourself instead of spending time trying to set up a shot , always take time to step back from the camera and enjoy nature.
