Location
This image was taken in an outdoor natural location in East London, discovered by chance but I immediately fall in love with it. Lots of wild tall plants created a beautiful green backdrop, so complimentary for this young redheaded model.Time
It was taken on a sunny summer day at about 5 PM when the sun was already low enough, but before the golden hour has begun. I found some shade among the trees, that always provides a great tone balance.Lighting
I very frequently shoot under natural light, probably the best and most versatile light that works for me all the time while being unpredictable, and sometimes challenging. On a sunny day, you can find some shade or play with lights and shadows, caught some reflections. On a gloomy overcast day, you can find a perfect portrait lighting that will create a moody atmosphere. And the wind is always my best friend.Equipment
My camera was Canon 5D Mark III, and the lens was Sigma 55mm f/1.4 Art.Inspiration
I absolutely addictive to colour photography, even though I find it most challenging, and when I met with Keira she just stole my heart by the colour of her hair and her freckles and her absolutely brilliant personality. Since then, redheads become my recurrent theme, like the fire they can light the mood even on the most gloomy day. And then she picked that dandelion, and... the rest you can see.Editing
All images I take I process individually using my own workflow. My goals are to keep it natural looking, with textured skin and enhanced details. In my camera bag
My camera was Canon 5D Mark III, and my go-to lens is Sigma 55mm f/1.4 Art or Canon 85mm f/21.8, I use no flash or tripod, but sometimes a reflector if I can get assistance.Feedback
My advice is simple: actually, don't try to capture something similar as it already captured, but try to find yourself through practice and looking to lots of references every day.
