This is the iconic view of Mount Cook and Mount Tasman reflected in Lake Matheson's early morning sun. It is taken from the jetty viewpoint. The day before had been a disaster but we decided to try once more the following morning. We arrived about 9.30am to clear skies but within one hour Mount Cook and Mount Tasman had disappeared behind the clouds.
