One of my favorite annual events (unfortunately, now one of my PAST favorite annual events) here in Toronto, The St. Lawrence Market Criterium (sometimes referred to as The Toronto Criterium). A section of downtown is closed to traffic and a 1km race course is constructed. The average time to complete the 1km is just under one minute.
