Taking You Under My Wing

Baby Piping Plover snuggles with mum. Piping Plovers are on the list of endangered birds in the Great Lakes region and threatened birds along the Atlantic Coast. Areas are roped off for nesting but as the chicks grow they venture out with parents to learn to find food. I kept a safe distance and watched a couple of families run along the shore for a couple of hours.
