Roseate Spoonbill Bathing

This spoonbill spent almost half an hour bathing. It splashed and ducked into the water, almost disappearing under the surface. Then came the process of preening and drying the feathers. But the most interesting part of this procedure was the bathing. Sometimes there were five or six all bathing at one time. These must be the cleanest birds in Florida!
