While exploring this small Adirondack Lake in my kayak I stumbled upon these tree stumps and thought they would serve as a nice foregound. Since the water was only a few inches deep near the stumps, I decided to go back at sunset and try to work the composition. Although I would have prefered a dramatic sky, there is sense of serenity and simplicity in this soft sunset.
