Behind The Lens

Location

The photo was taken in my Hotel room in New Delhi, India. I am a self-taught photographer and I like to playing with lights and shadows.

Time

This shot was taken on July 2018 at 2 PM

Lighting

The patterns you see on the subject’s face is actually shadow of window mesh .I placed a phone torch on the other side of the window mesh to get those interesting patterns on the face.

Equipment

NIKON D7000 Aperture f/5.3? ISO 2800 Shutter 10/300? Focal Length 700/10 Hand held, used phone torch a

Inspiration

I used to watch these patterns almost everyday on the adjacent wall of the window. I wanted to see how those patterns would look on a human face. That’s the story behind this photograph.

Editing

Just slight adjustments in contrast and blacks. Nothing much of post processing went into this photograph.

In my camera bag

Canon 1300D • Canon EF 75 - 300 mm f/4-5.6 III USM Lens • Canon EF50MM F/1.8 STM • Canon 18-55mm ISII Lens Lens ball Skywik phone macro and wide-angle lens

Feedback

Try searching interesting patterns in and around home. I'm sure that you can find many interesting frames around you that you haven't noticed yet.
