The wall was Dow stairs, and the outdoor mall had wonderful ambient light that filtered onto the wall like a natural studio.Equipment

My daughter was a Senior and I had been having my eyes out for interesting backgrounds to take her Senior photos at. I got more then I expected out of the wall.Editing

I always have my (upgraded) iPhone on me in addition to my Canon Rebel T5. I find both can serve different but similar needs and pick up different lighting out of each.Feedback
Lighting is so important, and sometimes you have to get creative and look at all surfaces as a potential background. You never know which storefront can be your favorite backdrop!
