This photograph is quite deceiving. This magnificent bird of prey is in a bird hospital, awaiting full recovery from its injury. She will then be released into the wild again.
Since she has linked the presence of humans -- her carers -- to feeding times, she was really excited to see me approach her with the camera. And when the photo shoot was over (i took 3 images in total in about 30 seconds), she received her evening meal.
Still, the eyes... they are captivating. Wouldn't you agree?
