Location
This photo is a composition of two photo's. The tree is photographed in Assen (NL) in front of the Drenths Museum and the model in my studio.Time
I walked through the city Assen and my girlfriend (the model) pointed at the tree and said: look that tree has a but in its stem. I saw a complete woman visualised in the tree stem. I took a photo which lived for two years on my harddrive before I asked my girlfriend to pose for me in my studio. With some Photoshop magic I composed this picture.Lighting
When your lighting in the photos is similar your compositing is a lot easier.Equipment
Camera: Nikon D800, 24-700mm f2.8 @ ±50mmInspiration
Seeing the forms in the tree inspired me.Editing
A composite photo like this obvious needs a lot of post-processing. The model posed exactly like the forms in the tree which made it easier to compose her on the tree. With several layers of bark I blended the structure on her back. The lighting is extremely modified to pull the two pictures together. In my camera bag
Standard equipment in my bag: Nikon D850, 50mm 1.4, 14-14 f2.8, 24-70mm f2.8 and 70-200mm f2.8Feedback
Compositing is al lot easier when the photo's have a similar lighting.
