Behind The Lens

Location

The phot was taken at airboune weekend in eastbourne.

Time

Despite a mid day flyby not a lot of light available until the chaff lit up.

Lighting

the sun light is rairly cooperative be patient. Be prepared to raise or lower the iso on the fly for the best available shot. Had this guy flown past 10 minuts later id have had to shoot in iso 800. 10 minutes eralier iso100.

Equipment

Cannon 700d with tamron 600 hand held as the tripod had no chance of keeping up. Iso locked at 400 f6.3 was as low as i could go.

Inspiration

I just love freezing fast moving objects in time. When i heard he was going to perform a role out on full burn with chaff.

Editing

cropped Image even with the 600 only half the frame filled

In my camera bag

I only had the 700d rip and

Feedback

Air shows are my favorite training grounds so much going on I try to pick a vantage point for the best light instead of the best angle. I also like use a high tripod with a hot shoe. 600lenses are heavy so I rest it often, but the best shots always seem to be freehand. Get used to shooting with both eyes open.
