Stokksnes is an intriguing photo location just north of Hofn in eastern Iceland.

There are plenty of Ring Road pull-offs that aren't in the guidebooks. For this one I had to hike down to the cliffs to get what I wanted.

Couldn't sleep, jet lagged. So I wandered around with my camera and a little Gorilla tripod.

I went with a 45 second shutter speed to accentuate the otherworldly quality of the harbor area.
