For weeks, I had seen the female Cardinal fly back and forth from my bird feeders to a Magnolia tree at the back of my property. I thought, when I continued to see her so much, that she must be feeding a young one. Sure enough, when I looked out my kitchen window, there they were...Mamma still feeding the "almost grown" baby.

Thanks, Doug. I used to get Cardinals, Bluebirds, Painted Buntings, Blue Jays, and so many more in my garden where I used to live in Auburndale, fl. Now, where I live, I am leasing and Landlord will not permit any bird feeders. People have had problems with rats getting in their attics due to eating the bird feed. I did put up a Bluebird house, but could not put any food to attract them, so have not had any inhabitants. Makes me sad!
