Emerald Lake by Morning.

I planned on “getting up early” (sunrise is at 9am) and catching the sunrise on Emerald lake. I imagined a beautiful pink sky above the wooden cabin with a reflection on the white snow. I walked outside and began making my way to the lakeside, there was no colour. The trees were white, the mountains were white the lake was white. Frustrated I walked around trying to find some colour and discovered this photo. A hint of warmth along the top of the mountain bringing out the red rock. Thank god for telephotos.
