The Mayflower Cafe is a Jackson, Mississippi, institution and a national culinary treasure. Opened in 1935 by Greek immigrants George Kountouris and John Gouras, the cafe is now Jackson's oldest eatery. Its famous "Comeback Sauce" is nationally regarded. The Mayflower has been featured on TV shows and in movies. I fell in love with the Mayflower's iconic, vintage neon sign.
