It was coming close to the 16th anniversary of my mother's passing. There is a rose Bush on the side of the house that has been there for as long as I can remember. Let me add that my mom's parents moved her into the home I live in now when she was 2 years old...so in 1940. 5 generations have grown up here, and that rose bush still grows. So I wanted a photo of a single rose for her. I went out at night, my phone and flashlight, and began to play. I noticed the petals of the flowers and leaves, but it was not until I was editing that i noticed there was no stem. No thorns. No pain. Nothing to harms those left in her home; as if it were a sign from her in heaven. That is how i saw it...the painless pink rose, the rose without a stem.
