Location
I took this photos in a secluded private cove in Laguna Beach, CATime
I photographed This during golden hour(about 1.5 hours before sunset) Beach pictures are super difficult when it comes to lighting because the light not only has no shade but it also reflects off the oceanLighting
I was actually really nervous for this photo shoot because of the lighting. The weather here is really weird. 15 minutes in Lynn from Laguna could be bright and sunny and super hot and then as soon as you get into the city it is very overcast and there is no son at all. I had a specific image in my head for the session and it required sun. But when the sun saw me walk on that beach it said “let there be light!” Lol. And the sun peaked through the clouds.Equipment
This image was taken with a Nikon D750 with a 50mm 1.4 lens.Inspiration
Honestly the couple themselves it. Tamara just kept talking about how hot she thinks her fiancé is so I figured I should have her admire him in a photoEditing
Oh yes I did post processing. I download all of my images and then I put them through Lightroom to edit. After that I cull them and if I need to I put some through photoshop. This session did need some sand smooth out but other than that it didn’t need anything elseIn my camera bag
Oh man my bag is pretty big but in my opinion it’s not big enough. I’m always adding to it. My very first camera will always be my last back up. It is a Nikon D90. Yes an oldie I know. But if anything happened to my D750 I can always depend on the D90. I have: 2 Nikon D750 1 Nikon D90 70-200mm 2.8 85mm 1.4 50mm 1.4 24-70mm 2.8 1 Altura external flashes 3 LED lights 1 reflector other little knickknacks stuff would be a Bride emergency kit, water bottle, safety pins, Excedrin, hard case memory card holder.Feedback
Definitely under exposed the picture. You can always brighten a picture but you can’t always darken a picture. If you want to photograph at a beach during summer do not have the photo shoot on a weekend because it will be way too crowded. Definitely on a weekday.
