I have titled this "Battle" for good reason. It was not an easy task for these lions to take down a fully grown male giraffe and they often got the worse of it. I believe if the giraffe had predator instincts it could have easily killed the lions. Something was wrong with the giraffe's hooves, which I think kept it from running fast enough to outpace the lions. I have about 30 images of the event on my website: www.mykey.smugmug.com
