It has to be said probably the single most fruitful photography trip I have ever had in such a small amount of time.
While we were here shooting the mist on Brothers Water I kept looking back urther along the Lake, tried various things but there wasn't really any sort of composition I was happy with but I knew there was an image to be had somewhere, as I remarked to Mike at the time. As the sun rose higher and was hitting the mountain tops it started cascading further down from the perfect angle, and for a few moments it lit the entire of the shoreline here illuminating all the reeds and trees while the mountains to the rear were still in shadow and the whole matching contasting scene was reflected perfectly into the still lake....
A quick run up the shoreline ensued and I knew exactly what I wanted to shoot, big lens on and zoomed into the far end of it, it turned out to be a 10 shot vertical panorama of the scene.
Shortly afterwards the scene had changed entirely and the moment was gone, always pays to keep looking around.
