Initially I went to a local Jetty for the Sunset (I will share that image in the future) and noticed a storm approaching. When I took this shot there was no rain (this was short lived), myself and the local fisherman were enjoying the light show as the storm rolled in from the South. The cloud formation and the intensity of the lightning storm that followed was truly an awesome sight. Enjoy!

Location
This photo was taken at Long Jetty, NSW, Australia. This Jetty is one of 3 jetty's and is the longest of the 3, Long Jetty divides the Ocean from Tuggerah lake and is a truly beautiful place.Time
I initially went to this location to shoot a sunset, (this is one of my favourite Sunset photo locations) as the sun went down I could see a (very small) flash of lightning on the horizon which wetted (no pun intended) my appetite for what was to come. I was very fortunate to watch the storm come towards me in the comfort of the warm evening and no rain at the time of taking this image. As the storm rolled in and passed overhead I took shelter under the eves of a boatshed just meters away and from this shelter I was able to keep taking photo's of this fantastic light show. It was a truly fantastic experience and one I will hopefully experience again.Lighting
Nature has a way of doing this for us, I do sometimes use filters to slow things down when required.Equipment

I absolutely love Landscape photography, especially sunsets over water. I really don't mind if the conditions are perfect or not as the rewards usually show themselves as the sun goes down from the Golden Hour through the sunset to the Blue Hour. Truly amazing.Editing
