I was in Paynesville for the Paynesville music festival on the Lakes. I saw a beautiful sunset starting to appear so I went for a walk to try and find a composition. Found this boat left on the beach and I thought now heres a foreground subject. So I pulled out my phone and started snapping different angles. It was the only camera i had on me so it was my best camera at the time.

Behind The Lens

Location

I took this photo at Paynesville Victoria Australia

Time

It was taken at sunset

Lighting

I just used the natural light provided by the sun

Equipment

It was taken on my samsung galaxy s7. As they say the best camera is the one you have with you.

Inspiration

I was at the paynesville music festival. Just taking it all in. I noticed some nice colors as the sun was starting to set. I thought this looks good, so i went for a walk along the foreshore and found this nice composition so i grsbbed my phone, framed the shot and pressed click.

Editing

Not really. I think i just enhanced the saturation a slight bit and plsyed around with the highlights. Other than that it's pretty much the way o saw it.

In my camera bag

Normally i would have my nikon d750. A nikon 50mm 1.8 prime lens. Tokinon16-28 wide angle and a Tamron 18-400 3.5-6.3. Tripod and filters.

Feedback

Just be on the look out. Make sure you always carry some sort if camera with you. No camera=no shot. Experiment and play around with different settings.
