I took that picture just in front of the Parliament of Ottawa, Canada.Time
It was approximately 12h30 pm and the sun was just over my head.Lighting
At that time of the day, the light was just perfect for those flowers. The green pine was perfect for the background to enhance the color of the flowers.Equipment
I use a Canon EOS 6D, lens 24-105, F5.6, ISO 100.Inspiration
It was spring time, best time of the year for tulips. I made that trip to Ottawa especially to take pictures of tulips.Editing
For the post-processing, I always use the Corel PaintShopPro X9. I just use the "Perfectly Clear" tool to adjust and maximize the color.In my camera bag

Observation is the key. Try to find the perfect flowers, the perfect background. Sunny day, no wind is the perfect recipe.
