This photo was taken during a winter trail in the Italian Dolomites, near the "Croda da Lago" Hut. We were snowshoeing for about three hours before arriving in this pointTime
It was about noon of a very cloudy day, but in that moment the sun come out from the clouds and the sunrays that spotted from the fork on the right created a magical atmosphere with the snow...so i take my camera and i shoot as soon as possibleLighting
The light was soft, a little fog create a mysterious atmosphere, like if we were in a fantasy worldEquipment
When i go for a trek trough the mountains i need to carry less weight, so i used my bridge camera: Panasonic FZ27Inspiration
When I walk through mountains I always seek for particular images, that i can take with me with my shots. This is one of this moments: when lights, rocks, clouds create a perfect mixEditing
I develop the photo with adobe Lightroom, but i choose a very light post processing...i want to preserve the original atmosphere of the photo. In my camera bag
Usually for landscape i prefer using my Nikon D7100 with my Tokina 11-20. That time i choose to keep only my bridge camera, it wasn't a trek studied for photography, but the Pamasonic Fz28 allowed me to keep that beautiful shotFeedback
The Dolomites are some of the most wonderfulk mountains in the world. Their colours change deeply during the day and the seasons following the different types of sunrays. You can take astonishing photos in early morning with clouds and cold atmospheare or wait till sunset, when the rocks turn to bright red and the high vertical dolomitic walls seems to take fire. Places like the Tofane, Tre cime di Lavaredo, Lagazuoi, Mount Cristallo, Catinaccio, Sciliar....are unique places in the world and for that reason has ben awarded as UNESCO World Heritage Site
