Behind The Lens

Location
After a long and hot hike through the Panamint Desert in Panamint Springs I finally arrived at those Dunes. I could take some decent shots of the Dunes right after sunset. Unfortunately there were no clouds at all and the Moon rose already in the late afternoon. In addition I was a little scared to walk back through the desert in the dark, for more than 2 hours. There were tracks of wild animals all around the area. So I decided to make a composite. At least the Milky Way shot was taken just a few Miles away a couple of days later - also in the Death Valley National Park. Actually it is a time blending, the position of the Milkyway is quite accurate;)
Time
It was during the blue hour.
Lighting
Not really, there were no clouds at all but the mood was great.
Equipment
The Sony A7RII and the Zeiss 16-35mm f/4
Inspiration
I always wanted to create a Sand dunes under the Milkyway shot.
Editing
Yes it's a composit. The milkyway was a shot from a few daye later in death valley. During the sand dunes trip the moon was visibleX
In my camera bag
The Sony A7RII with the Zeiss 16-35mm f/4 , the Sony A6000 with the 70-200 f/4 mounted. For nightshots I just switched my Samyang 14mm with the LAOWA 15mm f/2 Zero D - an Amazing Lens! And there is also the Zeiss 55mm f/1.8 in my bag.
Feedback
Visit the Death Valley. It will blow you away!
