Behind The Lens
Location
This was taken on one of my many walks along the canal where I live ,the robins always seem happy enough to stay still long enough for me to photograph them . I still think of myself as an amateur photographer, but I like to say that I treasure every photo opportunity to get something special that people love.Time
I usually try to go out in the early hours or in the evening ,this was taken in the evening around 6pm I think , but my preferred time of day is early morning where it is really quiet of people and the wildlife is just waking up and is really busy and the birds are singing their hearts out.Lighting
I just the trying to go out in the magic golden hours of the day if I can.Equipment
I just used my 170-500mm sigma lens ,no tripod just hand held.Inspiration
my inspiration is really simple , I just like photographing wildlife , and I do like the way people love my shots , it is also a way of telling a story .Editing
no major post processing really, just tinkered with the lighting a little bit.In my camera bag
I normally have a 18-55mm lens , a 70-150mm lens , a glass ball , but the I use the most at the moment is a 150 -500mm lens .Feedback
The only advice I would give is be patient , look all around you , you be looking one way but something can be happening behind you .
