The photo was taken in my home studio in Longmont, CO. USA. I graduated with a Photojournalism degree from N.I.U. in DeKalb, IL. I took a year of classes at the Art Institute in Chicago, IL for artistic lighting.....Time
My shoots are scheduled for about 2 hours. I love to start shooting about 11AM. Sometime's as we all know it can run longer that that.Lighting
One strobe setup, with a 14"x72" gridded soft box towards the side of the model. I love doing body scapes with set up. I will have the model on a table with padding and the strobe to the rear of the subject, at an angle down toward the body.Equipment
Canon 6D, with a Tamron 70mm-200mm f/2.8. One Flashpoint 600AD strobe. No other equipment needed.Inspiration
I love shooting Nude's and especially bodyscapes. Each model's form is beautiful and the way the light hit's it an different angles.....Editing
Stated earlier, I love my nudes in black and white. I have developed numerous presets in Lightroom for my different light setups. It is just the tweaking of the image in Lightroom. In my camera bag
I carry the Canon6D, Tamron 70mm-200mm, a Canon Prime 50mm f/1.4, Canon Prime 85mm f/1.8 and Tokina 100mm Macro f/2.8. I have several Yonguno 568 speedlites and always when shooting outdoors the Flashpoint 600AD.Feedback
Practice with light placement with single strobe, measure your light with a light meter always. I always use a gridded soft box with my Nude work. Practice, Practice and then Practice again. Very easy to do....
